One thing that confuses me... How can it be that one of WMs warriors is wearing TWO pieces of knight armor (rest glad), when they don't stack? 1 piece of Knight and rest glad is much more effecient.
Guess that just proves that Koreans focus less on the build itself:P

I also have to believe in all fairness that WM should and would share the prize money with the "entire" guild that participated through the tournament. Not just the 8 that are allowed in the finals. So, that would spread the money out even more.
there's something that you need to realize regarding the difference in culture.

it's been mentioned before, but korean professional gaming leagues function the same way professional athletic leagues do here. pro gamers are sponsored and paid yearly to play games. their main source of income doesn't come from tournament winnings, but corporate sponsorship. i doubt that wm is playing for the cash prize. their going for the prestige of world champions and the resulting raise in their salaries.

gaming is huge in korea and is treated much like professional sports are here. you would call someone an idiot for buying a wm t-shirt, but what would you say about someone who buys a t-shirt with the logo of his favorite sports team? isn't that essentially the same thing? what about the guy that pays $100+ for an "authentic" jersey with his favorite player's name on it. that would be equally as idiotic then, since all they are paying for is the name. not much of a difference.

from the way it sounds, the wm team consists of pro gamers. they are paid to do this stuff daily. it's not just a game for them. it's their job. it'll be hard to beat that, but it can be done.

with that said, i think i'm in the wrong country...

You might be mistaken one of them for the Stoneskin gauntlet.

So with their time difference it roughly translates to about 7am - 1pm EST and 2am - 9am. So while there might be some overlap... I don't think the top guilds are playing during those hours. Well, at least I don't sign on to play at 7am in the morning. I just believe that they haven't seen "much" of the american team.
Maybe they haven't, I don't know. I just have a hard time thinking people who play in the gaming atmosphere that Korea has wouldn't game film their opponents. Then again, that could be part of their strategy, don't worry about the other team, worry about yours.

They are probably wearing stoneskin gauntlets,
Altho from the games ive watched the warriors only use gale, and KD length is capped at 3 seconds, so things like gale and backbreaker gain no benefit from stoneskins, not 100% sure, but if they are using shock stoneskin helps.
